33-year old Jose Perez-Gonzalez and 37-year old Shegow Gagow attempted to flee Police officers, but not before Perez-Gonzalez stopped and slammed into a patrol car. The impact injured the officer, who was thrown from the vehicle. Perez-Gonzalez then struck another patrol and a chase began.

As the pursuit continued Perez-Gonzalez struck a citizen s vehicle. Perez-Gonzalez ditched the get-away vehicle in the 1100 block of West 10th Avenue, where Gagow surrendered.

Perez-Gonzalez fled to a nearby apartment. By this time, Officers from Richland, Pasco, and the Benton County Sheriff s Department assisted with containment of the area. As police were preparing to get the suspect to surrender, he jumped out of a window and fled again.

Here s a what would you do situation. If you found $7000 in cash, would you return it? Apparently, one Kennewick individual decided to do the right thing and return $7000 in cash that was found at the Circle K.
It s a pretty amazing story of integrity and doing the right thing. According to a posting on the Kennewick Police Department s Facebook page, here is what happened:
On Thursday evening, a Tri-City resident was inside Circle K located at Steptoe St and Gage Blvd in Kennewick. While shopping the resident found a unique plastic bag with over $7,000 inside.

A woman crashed her Dodge Durango into an apartment complex Friday night & now faces criminal charges.
57-year old Lori Christensen is charged with eluding after Police attempted to pull over her blue Dodge Durango.

For safety reasons, Kennewick Police opted NOT to chase the Durango.
Minutes later, Christensen crashed the vehicle between two apartments. Officers were unable to get Christensen out of the wreckage.

The Kennewick Fire Department was brought in to extract Christensen from the wreck. It was determined that no one was home in either of the apartments.
