Report: Heritage Christian Academy applies for KHSAA membership

The school has played the last several years in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association, which has forced them to travel across the state for games and matches. According to KHSAA bylaws, HCA would not be eligible for district or regional post season play during a two year probationary period. It’s also likely the school would be placed in the 8th district and 2nd region, but that has to be voted on by the KHSAA Board of Control.

Can Henderson County students re-do school year?

HENDERSON, Ky. Henderson County Schools board members say many questions remain over the Supplemental School Year Program but reiterated that the school corporation would work to make sure students and their families were provided with everything they need to make a well-informed decision. The board discussed the issue during its regular board meeting Monday evening. The program, created by the recent passing of Senate Bill 128, would allow students in grades kindergarten through 12 to opt for a do-over year in 2021-22, in light of disruptions to the current school year due to COVID-19.  Students who want to take advantage of the SSYP must fill out the proper request form by May 1. The form, along with a frequently-asked-questions document, is on the school corporation s website at henderson.kyschools.us/
