Ky gains 744 COVID-19 cases, four new deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 744 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, along with four new deaths. According to a news release, the positivity rate also dropped slightly once again down to 2.79 percent the governor says it is heartening to see that decline and once again urged all Kentuckians ages 16 and up to get their COVID-19 vaccination to keep that trend going. Along with the four new deaths, five deaths were discovered in the ongoing audit of the state reporting system, bringing the overall death toll up to 6,223. There are currently 382 Kentuckians in the hospital due to COVID-19, with 106 in the ICU, and 60 on a ventilator.
