He refused to address either topic during a short press conference in Georgetown, Kentucky, on Wednesday and instead stressed his opposition to President Joe Biden.  One-hundred percent of my focus is on stopping this new administration, McConnell said. That was his response after a Lexington Herald-Leader reporter asked if he planned to do anything to help Cheney keep her leadership role and if he was concerned that acknowledging the last presidential election was valid (as Cheney has) can be a liability for conservative politicians.
