Biofuels Legislation was introduced Feb. 8 in the Iowa state legislature to move the state to overall higher biofuel blends, including offering E15 statewide by 2025 and updating the E15 promotion tax credit to $0.03 per gallon year-round. It is estimated that the legislation would increase ethanol demand by more than 117 million gallons over the first five years.

With less than two weeks left in the 2021 legislative session, bills to let local governments regulate tobacco products are among the many that legislative leaders haven t even assigned to a committee.
The bills sponsors told Kentucky Health News that they think the bills may have been lost in the shuffle of a short session that has to write a budget amid a pandemic, plus severe weather that cost a week.Â
Supermarket employees will be recognized as the state of Kentucky celebrates Supermarket Employee Day on Feb. 21 with a proclamation from Governor Andy Beshear.
âSupermarket employees have played a major role in keeping our communities running and our families fed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic,â the press release said.
The Kentucky Retail Federation and Kentucky Grocers and Convenience Store Association are also encouraging mayors and local officials across the commonwealth to recognize their own proclamations and on social media with the use of #SupermarketEmployeesDay and #SupermarketHeros hashtags.
âDespite the many challenges of the last year, grocery store employees have continued to show up to work and do their jobs.
