FRANKFORT â (KT) Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has joined 47 other attorneys general in filing a bipartisan federal anti-trust lawsuit against Facebook.
The lawsuit, filed at U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, alleges that, over the last decade, Facebook violated federal anti-trust laws by illegally acquiring competitors and cutting services to smaller competing companies. Coalition members also contend that these illegal business practices harmed Facebook users by depriving them of the benefits of competition, reducing privacy protections and decreasing services to increase advertising revenue.
âOur office joined this bipartisan coalition of attorneys general from across the country to bring this lawsuit and protect Kentucky consumers from Facebookâs anti-competitive business practices,â Cameron said. âFacebookâs conduct has harmed consumers and small business, and weâre working alongside our state and federal partners,
