In response, Cal Fire is taking a proactive approach to wildfire prevention and battling blazes by hiring additional crews.Two more fires started Monday. The cause? Tree roots burning underground in the Big Basin Area of the CZU Fire zone.The Ridge Fire is fully contained with 7 1/2 acres burned and the Hihn Fire is at 90% containment.Monday night, Cal Fire flew a plane with infrared equipment on board to detect additional hot spots.
