A POLICE investigation is underway amid reports of abuse at a Bradford mental health hospital. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) said it carried out an unannounced inspection of Cygnet Woodside, on Beacon Road, following the allegations of abuse by staff towards a patient.  A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police told the Telegraph & Argus that a report of an assault, alleged to have happened on August 31, is being investigated. They added: “Two men have been arrested in connection with this report and have been released under investigation for enquiries to continue.” The inspection, which took place in September, highlighted a number of concerns about the hospital and it has now been plunged into special measures.
