COFFEE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - Two people have been arrested in connection to a Coffee County auto lot fire that was determined to be arson, according to the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
Charles Jones and Dezarae Wiggins of Clio, Alabama, have been arrested and charged with Theft of Property and Arson.

WAYCROSS, Ga. (WALB) - Operation Sandy Bottom defendants continued to be brought into federal court last Friday morning at the United States District Court of the Southern District of Georgia in Waycross.
The defendants made their initial appearance in front of a federal magistrate judge for formal arraignments on their charges pertaining to their suspected criminal roles in this investigation. Some defendants were incarcerated at the time the investigation began and allegedly played a significant role as they served time.
The FBI has received a report “that an individual located in Manchester, Tennessee, who participated in the US Capitol riot intended to return to Washington, DC, on January 20 to disrupt and potentially commit acts of violence at the inauguration,” according to 6abc.com.
The news organization reported that ABC News obtained a bulletin earlier this month, and âthe FBI offered chilling details from enforcement actions taken since the storming of the U.S. Capitol.â
FBI has been notified that a person in Manchester, Tennessee, participated in the Jan. 6 riot and intended to return to Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20 to potentially commit acts of violence.

DOUGLAS, Ga. (WALB) - The Coffee County Sheriffâs Office is hoping the community can help deputies find two robbery suspects they say are considered armed and dangerous.
According to a Facebook post from the sheriffâs office, Richard Bennett III and JaTavius Bennett are both wanted for robbery, battery, criminal damage to property, and cruelty to children in the third degree.
The post says they should not be approached if seen because they are considered armed and dangerous.

WAYCROSS, Ga. (WALB) - Nearly 50 people have been indicted in a drug trafficking investigation that targeted violent gang members distributing methamphetamine and other drugs in the Coffee County area, according to the United States Department of Justice.
Dubbed âOperation Sandy Bottom,â the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force investigation centered in the Sand Ridge neighborhood on the east side of Douglas, in an area known as âThe Bottoms,â said Bobby Christine, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.
