COLOMBO (News 1st): The Director-General of Health Services confirmed that FOUR (04) COVID-19 deaths were reported in the country on Friday (Mar. 05), raising Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll to 493.
The details of the deceased are as follows:
01. A 39-year-old male from Atala. He was diagnosed as infected with the COVID-19 virus and transferred from Kegalle District Hospital to Kandy General Hospital where he died on 05.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia and acute kidney damage.
02. A 67-year-old male from Colombo 08. He was diagnosed as infected with COVID-19 while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. Then he was transferred to Homagama Base Hospital, where he died on 05.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia, acute diabetes, and kidney disease.
