Unity or division, Christ or Satan

Unity or division, Christ or Satan By May 18, 2021 Catholic bishops in the United States are considering issuing a statement dealing with pro-abortion Catholic politicians and their worthiness to receive the body and blood of Christ in Communion. Recently, the president of the USCCB, Archbishop Jose Gomez, informed Cardinal Luis Ladaria—the prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith—about this. Ladaria then deemed it necessary to issue a statement on the matter. Catholics and Protestants Share Communion at German Ecumenical Convention 05/17/2021 at 7:13 PM Posted by Kevin Edward White Frankfurt’s Cathedral of St. Bartholomew served as the site where Catholics and Protestants defied Church teaching against shared communion. By Edward Pentin, National Ctaholic Register, May 17, 2021 FRANKFURT, Germany Protestant and Catholic worshippers in Germany defied Church teaching on Sunday by taking part in each other’s celebration of the Lord’s Supper at an Ecumenical Convention in Frankfurt. In four services in the city, Catholics were invited to take part in an Evangelical Supper with Protestants and similarly invited to celebrate the Catholic Eucharist, with the decision to receive Holy Communion at Mass or bread at a Protestant service left to an individual’s conscience.
