Taylorsville Woman Arrested in Hickory on Multiple Drug Charges Betty Anjelique Brooks Taylorsville Woman Arrested in Hickory on Multiple Drug Charges July 21, 2021 31-year-old Betty Anjelique Brooks of Highway 90 East in Taylorsville was arrested by Hickory Police at about 10:45 Sunday morning (July 18) for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also charged with possession of marijuana up to half-an-ounce, resisting a public officer, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. In addition, Brooks was served with an order for arrest on an out-of-county probation violation. She was arrested after Officers responded to a shoplifting call at a grocery store on Highway 70 S.W. in Hickory. During the incident, Police allegedly found 2.1 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
