Newton, Hickory Residents Arrested On Robbery, Conspiracy Charges L-R: Joshua Aaron Gibbs and Benjamin Jordan Corkran Courtesy of Catawba County Sheriff s Office Newton, Hickory Residents Arrested On Robbery, Conspiracy Charges April 28, 2021 39-year-old Joshua Aaron Gibbs of Cody Court in Newton and 22-year-old Benjamin Jordan Corkran of N.C. 127 South in Hickory were arrested Tuesday (April 27) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. They’re each charged with common law robbery and felony conspiracy. Both suspects were jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility. Gibbs was incarcerated without bond, Corkran received a $5,000 secured bond. They were both scheduled to appear in District Court today (April 28).
