A proposal to force residents in Odense neighbourhood Vollsmose to take a Covid-19 test has been rejected by parliament, but people in the area could be required to comply with self-isolation if they test positive for the coronavirus.
The government could enforce self-isolation for people in Odense neighbourhood Vollsmose if they test positive for Covid-19.
A majority in parliamentâs epidemic committee has rejected forced testing but backed the governmentâs proposal for enforcing quarantine, broadcaster DR reported.
Health minister Magnus Heunicke confirmed the decision after a lengthy meeting on Monday evening.
Danish doctors are violating healthcare legislation by not informing seriously ill patients and their families that they will not be resuscitated in the event of an emergency. According to experts, in some cases, patients are denied intensive care against their wishes.
The revelations were made in a TV2 documentary last week which showed patient records at Herley Hospital in eastern Denmark marked with codes that, according to medical experts, instructed hospital staff not to administer intensive treatment in the event of an acute attack. In one case, personnel were advised not to resuscitate an 82-year-old woman suffering from lung disease, even though she had requested the opposite.
