New Jersey s Shot And Beer Campaign to Encourage Vaccination May 06, 2021, 12:04 IST
Covid19 vaccines are available all over the world but people don t need to be taking the shot. Many are either sceptical or are just delaying the vaccination. The government all over the world are coming up with various ideas and offers for the citizens to motivate them into taking the vaccine shot.
The New Jersey officials have come up with one very creative idea to motivate its citizens into getting the vaccine. Governor Phil Murphy recently announced that anyone who gets their first dose of the Covid19 vaccine will get a free beer. This is a unique way of boosting the vaccination process.
Before the Guild and Murphy s office collaborated on the Shot and a Beer program, he was frustrated with the state s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control not allowing breweries to offer beer at a discount in order to incentivize vaccinations.
“I was annoyed we couldn’t do anything to help promote vaccinations, said Wells, since we are literally across the street from a mega-site.” It’s great that the Brewers Guild of New Jersey and the State were able to get together on this initiative, said Gretchen Schmidhausler, owner and brewmaster of Little Dog Brewing Company. Little Dog looks forward to pouring some beers for a good cause!
