Resident Evil Village, Mass Effect Legendary Edition Support Added In Latest Nvidia GPU Update

The latest driver update for Nvidia GPUs is out now, bringing with it optimizations for three massive games coming in May.
Metro Exodus isn t a new game, but the plethora of changes the game s free update brings on May 6 might as well turn it into one. This update requires GPUs with hardware-accelerated ray-tracing support, meaning Nvidia s RTX 20 and 30-series cards fit the bill. The latest driver adds day-one support for the game s new ray-tracing suite, including full global illumination, emissive lighting, and reflections.
Metro Exodus version is made exclusively for running on ray-tracing capable graphics cards. When it launches on May 6, the single-player shooter will feature both enhanced ray-traced effects over the original release and Nvidia s DLSS 2.0 technology.
Moving over from games, Nvidia has validated five more displays as G-Sync compatible. The latest additions are AOC 24G2W1G8 and AG274US4R6B, ASUS XG349C, Philips 279M1RV, and Samsung LC27G50A.
Regarding crypto mining, Nvidia is also implementing the rumored hash limiter with this driver for the RTX 3060 12GB and other products releasing after mid-May. DirectX 12 Agility SDK support is included in the latest driver as well.

Ray tracing workhorse Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition arrives next week, and NVIDIA is preparing with some GeForce Now updates and, of course, a new Game Ready Driver. Features coming to GeForce Now include account linking, which will allow you to jump directly into games without having to log into their specific store account, and the ability to preload parts of games so that they launch faster. Currently, these features are only available for Fortnite, but NVIDIA plans to roll them out to other games in the future.
There are several big games coming to PC in May, including the likes of Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Resident Evil Village and the Mass Effect Legendary Edition remastered trilogy. Nvidia is getting GeForce GPU users prepared ahead of time, with a new driver release today.
The GeForce driver version 466.27 is now rolling out, bringing day-one optimisations for Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Resident Evil Village and Mass Effect Legendary Edition. This driver is particularly important for those jumping into the new version of Metro Exodus, as the driver will enable greater performance for all the new ray-tracing effects and DLSS 2.0.
Aside from day-one optimisations for some of next month’s most anticipated PC games, this driver also expands the list of G-Sync Compatible gaming monitors. Five more displays have received certification, including:
