The National Weather Service says there’s a risk of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms developing Tuesday evening, and some of the storms could be strong to severe, with gusty winds and small hail. The western half of New Jersey has a higher probability of getting hit with severe thunderstorms than the eastern half, according to the latest forecast maps issued by the Storm Prediction Center, a federal agency affiliated with the National Weather Service.

That person has not been identified.
