Pre-trial hearing in Onset man’s motor vehicle homicide case postponed to June 21

WAREHAM – A 19-year-old Onset man’s pre-trial hearing in Plymouth County Superior Court on a charge of motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation in the fatal crash that killed 65-year-old Kenneth J. Baptiste of Wareham on June 12, 2020 has been postponed until June 21. The hearing was to have been held May 17.
Nineteen-year-old Cameron Silva of Onset is also charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death, and leaving the scene of an accident causing personal injury.
His bail remains at $1,000.
According to the DA’s office, Wareham Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Cranberry Highway at approximately 11:09 p.m. on June 12.
