Brazil beats Chile at Copa America despite 2nd-half red card
Defending Copa America champions Brazil advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 win over Chile on Friday after substitute Lucas Paquetá scored the only goal of the match.

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) Defending Copa America champions Brazil defended strongly with 10 men to advance to the semifinals with a 1-0 win on Friday against Chile. Substitute Lucas Paquetá scored the only goal of the match only seconds before Gabriel Jesus was sent off early in the second half.
Paquetá s winner to the left corner of Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo in the 46th minute gave Brazil fans some hope that the Selecao would ease into the next stage. But only two minutes later Jesus was sent off after hitting Chile s Eugenio Mena with a flying kick.

Brasil no divierte. No es ninguna novedad. De hecho, se podría decir que Tite es entrenador se cumple esa norma. Pero gana, y poco más se puede decir. Su última demostración ante Chile, a la que dejó fuera de los cuartos de la Copa América tras un tanto de Paquetá (1-0).
De fútbol, más bien poco. La idea de meter a cuatro delanteros en el once se queda algo corta si no saben lo que tienen que hacer. Ese es el claro ejemplo de Brasil, que su fútbol se basa en pasársela a Neymar y que este invente, y Chile era consciente de ello y en la primera parte no tuvo ninguna clara, pero no sufrió atrás.
