The Brownsville Independent School District will host a first dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic starting Tuesday, April 13 through Friday, April 16, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the BISD Main Office located at 1900 E. Price Road.
Cameron County Public Health will host a first dose COVID-19 vaccination clinic beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the Los Fresnos Fire Department, located at 100 Rodeo Drive.

A Harlingen man in his 50s has died from COVID-19 related causes, the county health department reported Friday.
This raises the total number of coronavirus-related deaths reported in Cameron County to 1,593, the health department said.
Also Friday, Cameron County Public Health said it has received confirmation on an additional 52 COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of cases reported here to 39,095.
The new cases include six children in the age group of 9 years old or younger, 28 people in the age group of 10 to 19, six people in their 20s, seven people in their 30s, one person in his 40s, three people in their 50s and one person in her 60s, the health department said.

The city of Brownsville will host a city-led second dose COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru clinic starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, March 26, at the Texas Southmost College ITEC Center located at 301 Mexico Boulevard.
According to a Thursday news release from the city, the clinic is for individuals who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine during the vaccination clinic held Friday, February 26.
The city aims to administer 1,500 Moderna second-dose vaccines made available by Cameron County Public Health.

The city of Brownsville will host a city-led drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinic starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, at the Texas Southmost College ITEC Center located at 301 Mexico Boulevard.
According to a Wednesday news release, the vaccination clinic is a joint effort by the city, the State of Texas, Cameron County, Brownsville Independent School District (BISD), Texas Southmost College (TSC), and the South Texas Independent School District (STISD).
The drive-thru clinic is for anyone 18 years of age and above.
