A driver accused of leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a vehicle pursuit that ended in a rollover has been arrested.
Ruben Jeffrey Guajardo was arrested early Tuesday morning near San Benito off of the East Business 77 Frontage Road.
The chase began after Guajardo ran two stop signs in front of a San Benito police officer, Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza said in a tweet.
Pursuit began in San Benito, when Guajardo ran 2 stop signs in front of a SB Police Officer, & continued when he entered the Rancho Viejo area. CCSO continued pursuit when he exited Rancho Viejo & ended when vehicle rolled over several times by the Bus 77 exit, near San Benito. https://t.co/bHaquBRvuR

Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza released new information on an ongoing homicide investigation in Brownsville.
Genaro Urbano Gomez Castillo was identified as the man whose body was found by deputies responding to a welfare check in Cameron Park Friday night.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Cameron County Crime Stoppers at 956-350-5551; the investigation is ongoing.

In a tweet made Thursday, Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza said the search for a vehicle that reportedly slid off the Jaime J. Zapata Memorial Boat Ramp and into the water was suspended.

An altercation between multiple inmates at the Carrizales Detention Center broke out on Saturday, Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza said.
A response team was called in to control the disturbance.
No injuries were reported.
A disturbance occurred today at Carrizales Detention Center. An altercation between multiple inmates caused CERT to be activated. The investigation into the weekend bust of a San Benito cockfighting ring continues.
According to Cameron County Sheriff Eric Garza, deputies arrested the organizer of a cockfighting ring and one other individual.
Sheriff s Deputies received information of a cock fighting ring in San Benito. Deputies arrested the organizer/property owner and charged him with a state jail felony. A spectator with an outstanding warrant was also arrested. Investigation is ongoing. pic.twitter.com/yx9w4m6FaV
