The agreement introduces sports betting to Florida, while giving the Seminole Tribe the exclusive right to operate craps and roulette at all of its casinos and to build three more casinos on existing tribal property, including the Hard Rock in Tampa.

TALLAHASSEE â Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday signed a $500 million gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe of Florida that would bring mobile sports betting to the state of Florida and allow for Las Vegas style casinos at all tribal facilities.
If approved, anyone who is over age 21 and located within the state of Florida and has the app on their mobile device, could place a bet from anywhere on any professional and collegiate sports team and individual performance, motor sports event and Olympic competition.

Betting limits are headed to the dustbin of history thanks to the passage of Amendment 77, a gaming-industry-backed measure that Colorado voters approved in November 2020, giving the three casino towns of Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek the power to make rules allowing the removal of limits and the addition of new games in casinos. In December, the city councils in Black Hawk and Central City did just that; Cripple Creek City Council followed a month later.
Gaming bills running hot, ready for Senate floor

Gov. Ron DeSantis has yet to make good on a self-imposed deadline to strike a deal with the Seminole Tribe.
The Senate has quickly advanced gaming legislation that would add a regulatory authority for the state’s gaming industry and loosen certain regulations on pari-mutuel permit holders.
The Senate bills originated in the Regulated Industries Committee Monday and cleared their final Senate committee, Appropriations, Thursday.
House companion legislation
Two of the bills would establish a gaming commission, and the third removes the live racing requirement for pari-mutuel permit holders.
