CANTON, New York Kassandra Wood, from Lincolnville, has been selected for inclusion on St. Lawrence University s Dean s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2020 semester.
Wood is a member of the Class of 2024. She attended Camden Hills Regional High School.
To be eligible for the Dean s List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

CAMDEN, Maine A fire at a home on the corner of Mount Battie Street and Blake Street in Camden Thursday morning left a teen dead and two adults hospitalized.
The investigation is ongoing but the person who died is believed to have been 14-year-old Theodore Hedstrom, who lived at the home. During a press conference Friday morning, Maine State Police Lt. Troy Gardiner said a DNA confirmation still needs to happen.

ROCKPORT The Select Board in Rockport will convene Monday evening, Feb . 22, at 5:30 p.m., via Zoom to review three bids to extend the sewer along Route 1 from the existing line terminus near Sea Light Lane to South Street.
The board will also consider how it will finance the town’s purchase of a Daigle & Houghton Western Star 4700SF plow truck for the Public Works Department. The board approved the purchase at its Jan. 11 meeting, and Town Manager William Post is suggesting the town finance it through Androscoggin Bank for a total of $202,730, at an interest rate of 1.89% for a seven-year term.

GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania Trevor Iltis, from Rockport, a junior Electrical Engineering major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean s List with Distinction for the Fall 2020 semester.
Trevor is a 2018 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Iltis (Susan) from Rockport.
Students eligible for the Dean s List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean s List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean s List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

APPLETON Ryan M. Landwehr, 31, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his beloved family camp in Appleton.
Born in Rockport on May 28, 1989, Ryan was the son of Peter and Julie (Drinkwater) Landwehr. Ryan grew up in Appleton, eventually moving to Camden. He had participated in Appleton Little League, was a member of the Boy Scout Troop 203, and was a 2007 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School.
His fondest memories were spent at his family camp during the summer months on Sennebec Lake, in Appleton. At camp, he enjoyed waterskiing, boating, fishing, and playing with his dog. He also had a passion for movies, remote controlled cars and boats, as well as building motorized bikes. He particularly loved to kayak “up river” with his dog Leah, and had a special place in his heart for animals.
