Cambridge school buses will be delivering the food items to the remote locations.
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has secured funding through the USDA to offer ALL students in Ohio Free meals regardless of family income and is encouraging districts to feed as many students as possible.
The funding for this program comes from the USDA and can only be used to provide meals to children. Offering these meals, either in the building or remotely, does not take away from any other funding source the district receives, but instead helps ensure that students will not be hungry.
The food distribution program allows the cafeteria to remain self-supporting, and staff members to continue to do what they love by preparing meals for children.
