Police have named a Suffolk man as the victim of a fatal collision in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday.
Vasile Chiorean, 48, of Haverhill, died at the scene of a collision between his white Mitsubishi Shogun and a lorry in the early hours of the morning.
The crash happened on the A505 at Melbourn – about 20 miles west of Haverhill – at about 3.45am.
Jose Galdon-Donate, 55, from Cartegena, Murcia, Spain, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court by video link this morning.

Vasile Cristian Chiorean was sadly killed in a crash on the A505 yesterday

The family of a man who was killed in a crash on the A505 near Melbourn yesterday has released a statement.
Vasile Chiorean, 48, of Old Rope Walk, Haverhill, was driving a Mitsubishi Shogun when he was involved in a collision with a lorry at around 3.45am.
Vasile, who was known as Cristian , sadly died at the scene.
His family said: He was a loving father, husband and son with an infectious laugh and smile. There wasn t a room that he couldn t cheer up and I don t think anyone can say they ve had a bad first impression of him.

An alcohol shoplifter who threatened a security guard with a knife while attempting to steal drinks has been jailed.
Police received a 999 call from the public after Marcus Sapra and Jason Armstrong ran from the Co-Op in Perne Road, Cambridge, on January 17.
The pair were found in Rustat Road and arrested after Sapra dropped the knife and was verbally abusive to officers.
They were also found with four cans of beer, two bottles of wine and two cans of gin.
At Cambridge Magistrates’ Court yesterday (January 26) Sapra, 34, of Birdwood Road, Cambridge, was sentenced to 11 months in prison.
