Police rescue 18 people from the back of refrigerated lorry at motorway services near Peterborough

Share Following the rescue of the 18 people, Cambridgeshire Constabulary have released a number of warning signs for people to be aware of. These include people emerging from a lorry or HGV, particularly if they seem to be in a rush not to be seen.  Police have also said that the sound of banging coming from inside a lorry is another indicator, particularly if the vehicle is refrigerated. These signs should be acted upon if noticed at a service station or a lay-by. Anyone who notices any of the outlined warning signs are urged to contact police on 999 and make a note of the vehicle s registration number.
