No injuries have been reported after the incident near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire which occurred shortly before 6.30am. Striking photos shared by the Beds, Cambs and Herts Roads Policing Unit show the white van stuck in the embankment’s foliage, with tyre marks on the grass up to the slip road. The slip road is from the eastbound A47 to the A1 south. An update after 8am this morning indicates the road remains closed.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were joined by a Northamptonshire crew to extinguish the flames which broke out on the A road between Catworth and Leighton Bromswold at around 4pm. No injuries have been reported so far. An eyewitness said people in a car got out and appeared to be uninjured.
