Campbell Law School offers new program for first-generation law students | News

February 22, 2021 RALEIGH – Campbell Law School today announced plans to launch a unique virtual initiative for prospective first-generation law students. The “First-Gen Blueprint” virtual program is designed as a bridge over the gap first-gen law students may not even realize they need, said Assistant Dean of Admissions Morgan Cutright. Its goal is to provide first-gen students with the knowledge to successfully prepare for law school admissions as well as law school in general. “Through this program, we are trying our best to break down barriers as well as bust common misconceptions about law school in order to inspire future first-gen law students,” Cutright explained. “Going into law school as a first-gen student, one of the common misconceptions is that there aren’t many other first-gen students. Our research shows this simply isn’t true.”

Campbell Law has scheduled several virtual information sessions for its groundbreaking Campbell FLEX program, which allows students to earn a life-changing degree at their own pace. February 10, 2021 The CJCP was established on Sept. 22, 1998, by order of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. The order established the Commission’s membership and major responsibilities which include its primary charge: to enhance professionalism among North Carolina’s lawyers. In carrying out this charge, the CJCP is required to provide ongoing attention and assistance to ensure the practice of law remains a high calling, dedicated to the service of clients and the public good.  The North Carolina CJCP consists of a chairperson, who is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Paul Newby, an adjunct professor at Campbell Law School; two judges serving on trial benches of the courts of the state or the United States; and one appellate court judge either from the state or United States. Other members include two law school faculty members from accredited North Carolina law schools, eight practicing lawyers, and three non-lawyer citizens who are active in public affairs. All mem
