Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday inaugurated a non-beta-lactam injection plant at the Kerala State Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (KSDP).
Mr. Vijayan also laid the foundation stone for the construction of an Oncology Pharma Park at the KSDP in a virtual ceremony.

Heritage project will be completed by year end Bulk of the conservation work undertaken as part of the ₹110-crore second phase of the Muziris Heritage Project (MHP) over the past four years may near completion by March. The remaining work will be completed by year end. The project is expected to reignite the interest of heritage enthusiasts, students and tourists in what was once a port, considered a hub of civilisation and trade.

Work on the new bridge across the Korappuzha connecting Kozhikode and Kannur districts is in final stages and it is expected to be thrown open for traffic in February, Transport Minister A.K. Saseendran has said.
The Minister held a meeting here on Monday to review the work and later visited the site. Mr. Saseendran directed the officials to solve the dispute over removing silt from the river. It was also decided to convene another meeting on February 28 to discuss a detailed plan to finish the work on the bridge.

Industry and Sports Minister E.P. Jayarajan has said the government was working to strengthen sports facilities in rural areas.
The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the renovated Koothuparamba Municipal Stadium here on Monday.
He said the aim was to create a healthy nation through excellence in sports. He added that steps were being taken to create 50 supernumerary posts in the sports department and give jobs to sportspersons.
The construction of the stadium was completed under the Sports Department at a cost of ₹5.34 crore received from Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board. It has an international standard lawn and a football field with sprinkler system. In addition to floodlights and a shopping complex, there is a dressing room for players, a lounge and a pavilion that can seat up to 1,200 people.

Project aims at prevention of salt water ingress into farm lands
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that the Parapram regulator-cum-bridge project at Pinarayi Paraprath across the Ancharakandy river would prevent salt water ingress into over 1,200 acres of land in the area.
Mr. Vijayan was speaking after inaugurating the construction of the project through video conferencing. Currently, salt water flooded the agricultural lands in Pinarayi, Vengadu, Ancharakandy, and Peralassery panchayats. Mr. Vijayan said that once the project was completed, the problem would be resolved and it would prove beneficial to the agriculture sector. It would also help in ensuring supply of water to the Kerala Water Authority’s pumping station at Keezhallur, which supplied drinking water to Thalassery and Mahe municipalities, and Dharmada
