Kochi (Kerala) [India], March 8 (ANI): Palarivattom flyover in Kochi that was shut for nearly two years amid allegations of corruption in its making was reopened for the public earlier on Sunday after its reconstruction.
On January 8, the Kerala High Court granted bail to former Public Works Department (PWD) minister and Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MLA VK Ebrahim Kunju in the Palarivattom flyover scam case.
Kunju is accused in connection with a scam related to the Palarivattom flyover, which was inaugurated in October 2016 and closed for traffic merely three years later after flaws were detected in the same in July 2017.

A day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for attacking central agencies probing the
gold and dollar smuggling cases in the state, the chief minister hit back saying various agencies in the country have certified Kerala as the state with least corruption .
He went on to say that investigating agencies should probe the gold smuggling case in an unbiased way. If they think anyone can be threatened, it won t work here.

Kannur, March 8 : Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday tore into Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that he was never jailed in any murder case but there is one person called Amit Shah who was jailed for it.
On Sunday, Shah while addressing a mammoth party meeting in the state capital, had asked a few questions to Vijayan about gold smuggling and the reverse dollar hawala case that has rocked the Vijayan government.
