Elderly couple gets wedding photoshoot after 58 years in Kerala
At a time when Hindutva leaders across the country are talking about love jihad an alleged campaign by Muslims to force Hindu girls to convert in the guise of love, a Kerala mosque has broken all barriers to host a Hindu wedding to set a perfect example of communal harmony and secularism which is a bulwark of the country s democracy.
Setting an example of its own kind, the marriage was organised according to a complete Hindu tradition, where the bride draped in a pink and gold sari, exchanged garlands with the groom, clad in white shirt and mundu, in the presence of a priest and later sought blessings from the chief imam. A ceremonial tent was also set up in the premises of the mosque to welcome the guests, while a vegetarian sadya was arranged.

Thiruvananthapuram, March 3 : Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his wife Kamala Vijayan on Wednesday arrived at the state-run hospital here and took the Covid vaccine jabs.
Later, the Chief Minister urged all the people to get themselves vaccinated.
Vijayan and his wife arrived in the hospital at 10.45 a.m. and were escorted to the room where both of them received the vaccine shots.
After a 30 minute observation, Vijayan came out of the hospital and told the media that the only thing he knew was when the needle was inserted and he was told the process is over.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to the Chief Election Commissioner, alleging that the Model Code of Conduct is being torpedoed at the instance of some Union Ministers . Mr Vijayan sought the CEC s intervention to ensure free and fair elections .
Kerala will vote in Assembly elections on April 6.
The letter comes after the Enforcement Directorate filed a case against the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) - a key state body for funding infrastructure and development-related projects - for alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

In a boost to India s nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive, Bharat Biotech on Wednesday announced that interim analysis of Phase 3 clinical trials of its Covid-19 vaccine candidate, Covaxin, show the vaccine demonstrates 81 per cent interim efficacy.
Meanwhile, to speed up the vaccination drive, the central government has now allowed all private hospitals to administer Covid-19 vaccines. It has also done away with the 9am to 5pm time limit for vaccination. Now, hospitals are free to carry out 24X7 vaccination.
