Kochi (Kerala) [India], December 18 (ANI): CM Raveendran, additional private secretary of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the second consecutive day for interrogation on Friday, in the money laundering case in connection with the Kerala gold smuggling case.
This comes after Raveendran had left the ED office late Thursday night, after being interrogated for around 13 hours in connection with a money laundering case related to the smuggling of gold through diplomatic channels.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing his displeasure with the inquiry by central agencies in an alleged gold smuggling case, NDTV reported on Thursday.
In a letter on Wednesday, Vijayan said that the agencies are “conducting fishing and roving enquiries to find out whether there is any chance to allege any offence in a situation where the agencies have not been able to find anything specific against the state government”, reported
The Indian Express. The chief minister said that the investigation was against the interest of a “co-operative federal spirit”.

Basking in the glory of the ruling Left front’s resounding success in the local body elections, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is now getting ready for a state tour covering all districts eyeing the assembly polls which is just months away. According to official sources, the district-wise tour would begin on December 22 from southern district Kollam.
The ruling CPI(M) was eyeing to repeat the success saga in the assembly elections and the continuity of the Left government and the Chief Minister’s tour was part of the preparations ahead of the elections, they said.

Ahead of the last Assembly elections also, Vijayan had toured all the 14 districts and interacted with significant personalities in the social and cultural sphere.

Kochi : , Dec 18 (IANS) A day after Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining about the manner in which the national probe agencies are working in the gold smuggling and other cases, his closest aide C.M. Ravindran arrived at the ED office here, for the second day in succession.
It was on Thursday that Ravindran finally turned up before the Enforcement Directorate (ED), after ducking three previous notices given to him, and he was let off late night after 13 hours of questioning. The ED asked him to come with all the documents to prove his known sources of income and tax payments.
