In the wake of COVID-19 vaccine shortage faced by certain states, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has written to chief ministers of 11 states urging them to unitedly demand the Centre to procure vaccines needed by States and distribute free of cost.
Vijayan has written to CMs of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. In his two paged letter, he began notifying that the Union Government has taken a stand that the states should resort to their own measures to procure Covid-19 vaccine. The supply of vaccine is scarce when compared to the demand for the same.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday reached out to 11 other non-BJP Chief Ministers, stressing the need for jointly taking up the issue of vaccine for all with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.In a letter to his counterparts in Tamil .
