The universities and other higher educational institutions have to step up academic and infra facilities by getting elevated into centres of excellence,” he said at the CM@Campus programme held at the Cochin University

Envisaged on the theme ‘New Kerala, Youthful Kerala and the Future of Higher Education’, the interactive programme is being organised across five universities from February 1. While 200 students representing various disciplines will attend the programme, others can participate through web-conferencing platforms. The Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) will host the first interaction on February 1.

8,486 students conferred degrees at KUHS convocation Governor Arif Mohammed Khan inaugurated the convocation ceremony of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) on Thursday. The KUHS convocation programme is being held at a time when the country is going through the largest vaccination drive, the Governor said, inaugurating the ceremony online. He said around 300 million people were expected to receive the vaccine before July. The two vaccines developed by scientists in a record time were great achievements of science. Health Minister K.K. Shylaja was the chief guest. Even at the time of the COVID-19 crisis, the KUHS could confer degrees to 800 graduates, she said.

Ayurveda medical college upgraded to research centre Updated: Updated: First Ayurveda institution in north Malabar to get the recognition Share Article First Ayurveda institution in north Malabar to get the recognition Kerala University of Health Science (KUHS) has upgraded MVR Ayurveda Medical College, Parsinikadavu, to a research centre. Being the first Ayurveda college in north Malabar to receive the recognition, several opportunities for research will be opened up for the academia, said E. Kunhiraman, director, MVR Ayurveda Medical College. He added that the institution at present offers PG courses in Agada Tantra, Panchakarma, Rasa Shastra, and Bhaishajya Kalpana, and they have now been recognised for doctoral research.
