Prior to the pandemic, Laurie LeClear would chat the night away over dinner with a group of friends. Conversation filled the time as much as food and drink would fill the belly, typically at a downtown Kalamazoo restaurant.
Nowadays, the 74-year-old Richland woman meets with her dinner group over Zoom, and right now, the No. 1 topic of conversation is the COVID-19 vaccine, LeClear said.

Governor Whitmer said Michigan is still in good shape in the fight against the coronavirus but the latest numbers are not as strong as they were a couple of weeks ago.
