The first 11 Bronson employees were vaccinated on Thursday, Dec. 17.
The vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech was produced just a few miles away, at the Pfizer plant in Portage. The first trucks loaded with the vaccine departed the facility Sunday, Dec. 13.
Following state guidelines on phases of vaccination, Bronson has laid out the following plan with four phases of vaccinations spread over the coming months:
Phase 1a (late December 2020): Vaccinations for health care personnel starting with Bronson employees delivering direct patient care. This phase began this week after the first doses were received by hospitals and health departments around the state.
