Kalamazoo police looking for man charged in connection to murder of 6-year-old boy

KALAMAZOO, Mich. â The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is asking the public for tips that will lead to the arrest of Latravion Heard McMillon, who is wanted on charges of felony murder and first-degree child abuse.
âWe want to offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Jaylen Worthington, who passed away due to complications from trauma on Dec. 23,â KDPS Captain Craig Habel said. âWe are asking the community to help us locate Latravion Heard McMillon so he can be prosecuted for committing this heinous crime.â

Latravion Heard McMillon faces charges of felony murder and first degree child abuse.
KDPS Captain Craig Habel says Jaylen Worthington died December 23 due to complications from trauma.
On December 14, Worthington was admitted to Bronson Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives were called to the hospital and began conducting an investigation. The investigation found the childâs injuries were a result of child abuse.

PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 27-year-old Portage man has been arrested following the investigation into the death of a 14-month-old girl in August.
Portage Department of Public Safety detectives, along with Kalamazoo Township Police, arrested Jacob Britton Emmendorfer last Friday in connection with the death of Meilani Hart, who was found unresponsive in an apartment in the 6100 block of Condor Court.
The Kalamazoo County Prosecutorâs Office issued charges of open murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree child abuse after the Kalamazoo County Medical Examinerâs Office determined the girl was the victim of homicide.
