KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller is warning residents of an uptick in car-related thefts.
He spoke with WKZO on the subject Wednesday morning.
“It seems like it’s a non-ending event right now,” Sheriff Fuller said. “The rash of larcenies from vehicles and car thefts are all over the State of Michigan and all over this county of Kalamazoo.”
According to Fuller, it would appear as though a group of people are responsible for the thefts.
“What we’re finding is a group of people jumping out of one vehicle, going through an entire neighborhood in the middle of the night, and going through vehicles stealing change, stealing computers, stealing purses. One vehicle had a purse with cash and checkbooks, and the vehicle itself was stolen because the keys were in it.”
