UPDATED – Kalamazoo stabbing suspect sought by police By Will Kriss Jul 19, 2021 | 8:23 PM KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – UPDATED – Police in Kalamazoo are searching for a suspect in connection to a stabbing incident, according to a report from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Monday. According to the report, the incident occurred Monday evening at a homeless camp located near Hotop Avenue and River Street. Police provided the following statement: “A K9 track was performed resulting in an increased police presence in the downtown area. Although the suspect was not located, the initial investigation leads KDPS to believe that there is no danger to the general public and is continuing to gather information to locate and arrest the suspect.”
