Okanagan Falls-based Meyer Vineyards has been honouring the outstanding achievement of Canadians in their field since 2006 with its Tribute Series Chardonnay.
Owners Jak and Janice Meyer enscribe the honouree name on their Tribute Series Chardonnay label and donate $5,000 toward a not-for-profit foundation, endowment, or scholarship as a way of encouraging or honouring the legacies of these Canadians.

Giovane Café, Eatery, and Market, located on the lobby level of the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Coal Harbour, will soon relaunch as a wine bar inspired by Northern Italian food and wine.
Kitchen Table Restaurants acquired the café in August 2020, and temporarily shuttered it before reopening it under the new management by the end of that month.
The design, food and drink menus, and service of the forthcoming Giovane Bacaro, set to open this spring, all draw upon the offerings of Venice.
This new incarnation will include a wine bar, dining room, and lounge.
Now, over a year since renovations began on the restaurant, the Shangri-La has announced MARKET on 3rd will not be opening in that space, but something completely new from acclaimed restaurant group Kitchen Table Restaurants.
Kitchen Table operates Ask For Luigi, Di Beppe, Farina a Legna, Pizzeria Farina, and Pourhouse, along with its newly-acquired concept, the Giovane Cafe located at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel (this space will eventually be undergoing renovations as well).
While many details about the Shangri-La concept are to-be-revealed, we do know that upon opening this spring, the new dining destination will have undergone a full redesign and also will feature an enclosed patio.
We already know how amazing Vancouver restaurants are, but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate a celeb shoutout once in a while for these businesses.
