No viable solution to link new modular unit at MUH to the main hospital without patients going outdoors Published: Wednesday, 03 March 2021 08:30 Patients in the recently installed modular unit, that is an extension to the Emergency Dept at Mayo University Hospital, must go outside into the open air, in order to access other services such as scans or x-rays in the main hospital building. The situation is not acceptable, according to Castlebar councillor Michael Kilcoyne, who has raised concerns over sick patients having to go out into the elements at all times of the day and night, to access essential medical services.
