Thousands of ESB customers remain without power this afternoon across County Mayo and Roscommon following strong winds.
ESB say customers right across Belmullet, Crossmolina, Westport, Ballinrobe, Achill, Knockaphunta, Castlerea, Boyle and Ballaghaderreen are affected.
Crews are working to restore power but the weather conditions are not helping matters and ESB say they hope to have power restored by this evening.
A status orange wind warning has just ended in Mayo, Galway and Donegal, with yellow alert in place for most of the country until 5pm.
Met Eireann Forecaster, Gerry Murphy, says things will settle this evening.
