2021 Arkansas legislative nightmare: lawmakers stick it to their own constituents Kasten Searles
A year into a pandemic that stole jobs, lives and any sense of stability, Arkansans might have hoped for some help when lawmakers convened in January for the 93rd General Assembly. What they got was a kick in the face.

Little Rock School Board approves mask mandate, digital learning academy
The
Little Rock School District Board unanimously approved the extension of the mask mandate in all district buildings through July at a meeting Tuesday evening. It also unanimously approved the creation of a new digital learning academy. The district will have to seek approval of the new academy with the State Board of Education.

LRSD board to consider mask mandate, creation of virtual school
The
Little Rock School District Board will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. today to set the agenda for its April 22 meeting, but it will also take votes on two items: extending the mask mandate and creating a permanent virtual school within the district.
The administration recommends the continuation of its universal mask requirement in all LRSD buildings. I think it’s safe to say the board will concur and masks will continue to be required through the end of the school year.
