Bowen Law School set to celebrate 45th anniversary

Bowen School of Law will celebrate 45 years since the Arkansas General Assembly enacted legislation making it the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. This also marks the law school’s 55th year as the night program of the University of Arkansas Law School. Event co-chairs are Michelle Ator (’95), a partner at Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP, and The Honorable Dustin McDaniel (’98), a founding partner at McDaniel, Wolff & Benca, PLLC. “It has been two years since the alumni have hosted an event to raise money for Bowen due to COVID-19. UA Little Rock Professional Development Center Provides Continuing Education Training for Healthcare Professionals

News No Comments The University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Nursing has launched the Professional Development Center (PDC) to provide continuing education opportunities for nursing students, healthcare professionals, and emergency response professionals.  The Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas, which is funded by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, awarded the UA Little Rock School of Nursing a $68,357 grant in January 2020 that provided the seed money for the Professional Development Center. “In 2019, Dr. Sloan Davidson took over the chair position for the school. She had a vision to offer continuing education to the nursing population after they graduated UA Little Rock,” said Dr. Anita Joyce Simmons, assistant professor of nursing and coordinator of the Professional Development Center.

(KAIT) - Former Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman Doyle Webb announced Tuesday his candidacy for the office of lieutenant governor. After earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law, Webb became the first Republican justice of the peace and state senator elected in Saline County. He served as chief of staff to former Lieutenant Governor Win Rockefeller in 2002. Six years later, he was elected as chairman of the Republican Party of Arkansas. He won re-election to that post five times, running unopposed.
