HOUSTON – Houston police said a shooting in north Houston Monday left two people dead and sent three others to the hospital. Now, officers are at two locations trying to find out what led to the shooting.
Officers said they responded to reports of a shooting at a Whataburger located at 4545 North Freeway around 12:10 a.m.
Investigators said arriving units found a woman and man with gunshot wounds. Both were transported by ambulance in unknown conditions, police said.
Officers said they were also notified that there were other people shot down the street at 700 E. Whitney St.

PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a twice-convicted murderer accused of fatally shooting a Pontiac man and injuring a woman.
Michael Jerome Davis, 65, of Pontiac, was identified as being involved in the shooting that happened at about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Marshall Street.
Deputies said Davis is believed to be armed and dangerous, cautioning residents not to approach him.
According to the sheriff’s office, he was previously convicted of aggravated murder in Ohio in 1984 and then convicted of murder while in prison in 1991. He was paroled from Ohio in 2006.

TAYLOR, Mich. – Police are investigating a fatal shooting inside a Taylor apartment complex that happened early Wednesday morning.
Police said it happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Pond Village Drive, near Eureka and Inkster roads.
According to authorities, a 28-year-old man was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died. Police have taken a 23-year-old man into custody. They believe he shot and killed his sister’s boyfriend.
Sources said the 23-year-old shooter patiently waited the entire time for police to arrive and take in him. The altercation that took place leading to the shooting is still being investigated.

COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) - The Columbus County Sheriffâs Office is investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed near Tabor City Monday evening.
According to a news release, officers responded to the 1000 block of Clyde Norris Road around 8:30 p.m. after they received a 911 call about a person being shot.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found Elbert Vereen, of Chadbourn, in a nearby field. He later died from his injuries.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A shooting in North Nashville Monday evening killed a 3-year-old girl and injured three others: a 2-year-old and two adults.
It happened around 6:40 p.m. Monday in a parking lot near the Cumberland View Apartments at 25th Avenue North and Dowlan Street. That location is about one block away from Metro Nashville Police Department s North Precinct.
