Man arrested for illegally dumping vehicles and scrap metal on State Road 11

2 months ago Share by: Brittany Kershaw Public Affairs Manager, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Stephen Horton was arrested Jan. 16 on charges that he illegally left vehicles, scrap metal and other debris on State Road 11 in Bunnell. There were 14 reports of illegally dumping in the same location over the past 11 months. The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has been working with Flagler County Code Enforcement, the Florida Highway Patrol, and the Florida Department of Transportation on a case of parked vehicles blocking a state right of way and illegal dumping since February 2020. The location of the ordinance violations occurred at 8899 State Road 11 in Bunnell.

She coordinated with the local nonprofit “Find Your Peace by Pieces” to help advertise to a broader audience and communicate the message of peace in our community through love and acceptance.

3 months ago Share by: Shannon Martin Public Affairs Officer, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office The holiday season looks a little different this year, but the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the tradition of participating in the Christmas with a Deputy event. The event focuses on providing gifts for Flagler County children who otherwise might not receive any. This year, 165 Flagler children were selected to participate in the event. Due to COVID-19, the participants will not be able to shop with deputies and instead were given instructions on how to set up an online “wish list” via Walmart’s website. After setting up this “wish list,” all of the items will be shipped directly to Walmart for pick up and delivered to the child personally by a deputy or other law enforcement officer.
