Stephen Horton was arrested Jan. 16 on charges that he illegally left vehicles, scrap metal and other debris on State Road 11 in Bunnell. There were 14 reports of illegally dumping in the same location over the past 11 months.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has been working with Flagler County Code Enforcement, the Florida Highway Patrol, and the Florida Department of Transportation on a case of parked vehicles blocking a state right of way and illegal dumping since February 2020. The location of the ordinance violations occurred at 8899 State Road 11 in Bunnell.

After graduation, most seniors look forward to a fun-filled summer, but not Eryn Harris. In June 2020, just weeks after accepting her diploma and amid the nationwide shutdown due to COVID-19, Eryn setup the first ever Flagler County LGBTQ+ Pride March.
Just 10 days prior to the four-year mark of the Pulse attack, Eryn (17 at the time) began an aggressive social media campaign to promote the event and gather resources. She coordinated with the local nonprofit “Find Your Peace by Pieces” to help advertise to a broader audience and communicate the message of peace in our community through love and acceptance.

The holiday season looks a little different this year, but the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the tradition of participating in the Christmas with a Deputy event. The event focuses on providing gifts for Flagler County children who otherwise might not receive any.
This year, 165 Flagler children were selected to participate in the event. Due to COVID-19, the participants will not be able to shop with deputies and instead were given instructions on how to set up an online “wish list” via Walmart’s website. After setting up this “wish list,” all of the items will be shipped directly to Walmart for pick up and delivered to the child personally by a deputy or other law enforcement officer.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) employees raised $10,420.00 for this year’s Christmas with a Deputy event.
165 Flagler children were selected to participate in the event. The event focuses on providing gifts for Flagler County children who otherwise might not receive any.
Due to COVID-19, the participants will not be able to shop with deputies and instead were given instructions on how to set up an online “wish list” via Walmart’s website.
In addition to FCSO deputies, officers from the Florida Highway Patrol, the Bunnell Police Department, the Flagler Beach Police Department, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will participate and ensure that all gifts arrive before Christmas.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Flagler Beach Fire Rescue crews are by the shore working to remove a damaged SUV that ended up on its side and on the sand Tuesday.
Firefighters were investigating the single-vehicle rollover crash at South 22nd Street.
“Remarkably the driver of this vehicle was not injured,” Flagler Beach police posted on social media.
