3 arrested after violent home invasion in Palm Coast

Four people were accused of bursting into a Palm Coast home during a weekend home invasion and pistol-whipping and beating some of the occupants before taking cash, firing a gunshot into the ceiling and fleeing, according to reports and a press release. But three of the four didn’t get far, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, which is looking for the fourth suspect. Carlos Dupree, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; false imprisonment; aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; home invasion robbery; wearing a mask while committing a felony; resisting arrest; and violation of probation. He was being held Monday on a $251,000 bond at the Flagler County jail.

Xandar Garrett was found safe in Pinellas County. Last Updated: Monday, 1:38 p.m. Xandar Garrett, the 13-year-old boy who disappeared from his home on Oct. 22 after telling his step-mother he was going to walk the dog, was found safe in Pinellas County, where he’d run away. Xandar had been hiding at a friend’s house in Pinellas County for many days, until his friend’s parents found out, a Flagler County Sheriff’s spokesperson said Monday afternoon. The friend’s parents then called Xandar’s father, who had recently moved to Palm Coast. Xandar had not left his parents completely in the dark: he had contacted them at one point to let them know he was OK, but did not reveal his whereabouts.

Flagler To Break Ground On New Sheriff s Operations Center

Dec 10, 2020 7:56 AM Bunnell, FL - A couple of years after the old facility was evacuated, Flagler County plans to break ground on the new Flagler Sheriff s Operations Center. This comes two years after the Flagler County Sheriff s Office (FCSO) left the sick building that used to serve as the operations center. Since their departure, the Sheriff s Office has been split among different areas, including the Flagler County Courthouse, where the agency is currently headquartered. The new facility, which is estimate to cost just over $20 million, will be located on 8.41 acres near the Government Services Complex on Commerce Drive off of State Road 100. The main building will be around 51,615 square feet with future expansion capabilities for an additional 30,000 square feet. The groundbreaking ceremony is set to take place Wednesday, December 16th at 9 a.m. in Bunnell. “This groundbreaking is a monumental step forward for the Sheriff’s Office. When completed,
