A fire at a Kentucky dog kennel breeding labrador retrievers killed over 25 dogs on Friday, while only one survived. More than 25 dogs, including six newborn puppies, were killed in a fire at a dog kennel in Bardstown in Nelson County, Kentucky, on Friday. Ron Kraemer, the owner of Doggy Style Kennels, which raises, trains and breeds Labrador retrievers, was out buying dog food when the facility located behind his house caught fire. The blaze killed all dogs present, except for one who had just given birth to six puppies.

FCSO disciplines two deputies in misconduct cases

The Flagler County Sheriff s Office has demoted one deputy and given another a one-day suspension over unrelated misconduct cases.  Mark Moy, formerly a detective and corporal, has been place on disciplinary probation and stripped of his law enforcement status in connection with a domestic violence charge.  May had been with the Sheriff s Office for 14 years at the time of his misdemeanor domestic battery arrest in February. He signed a deferred prosecution agreement with the State Attorney s Office, agreeing to complete an 8-hour anger management class and an evaluation for substance abuse, and the prosecution dropped the charge. 

Two Elderly Men Stranded in a John Boat in Intracoastal Marshes for 7 Hours Are Rescued Near Bings Landing

A Flagler County Fire Rescue paramedic tows the two men, stranded in a john boat for over six hours, back to shore at Bing’s Landing Friday night. (FCSO) Two men who’d gone fishing Friday afternoon in a john boat spent seven hours stranded after the john boat’s engine died and they proved unable to summon a tow, finally resulting in a late night rescue by public safety agencies. At one point the efforts had involved the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Flagler County Fire Rescue, Volusia County’s emergency helicopter and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
