A number of social media accounts on different networking sites have posted a short video of a girl who was injured in the Ghotki train accident. In the video, the girl, who lost her parents and siblings in the accident, can be seen crying for help. She has lost her two legs and is now requesting the higher authorities to help her pay for her medical treatment.
The authorities must take steps to arrange funds for this girl. The state should also take responsibility for covering the girl’s education and housing expenses.

Two killed in different incidents

SUKKUR: Two people were killed in two different incidents in Sukkur region.Reports said a four-year-old girl, Dua Fatima, d/o Akhtiar Kalahoro, was killed, when the wall of her house collapsed on her in Umarkot. The residents recovered her body from the debris of the collapsed wall. In another incident, a landlord, Abdul Latif Sundhrani, was gunned down by some accused in Ghotki on Friday over an old enmity in village Agho Sundhrani in the limits of Serhad Police Station, Ghotki. The supporters of the deceased also decided to take revenge but the police controlled the situation and set up a police check post.

HYDERABAD: Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that Sindh and all other provinces are getting their due share of water as per Water Accord 1991.
Rejecting claims that injustice was being committed in water distribution, he said the issue of water should not be politicised, arguing that “Sindh doesn’t share correct statistics” in this regard.
He was speaking at the ‘Dialogue on Water Issues, Shortage in Sindh’ at the local press club, organised by the Sindh Agriculture Research Council (SARC) on Friday.

SUKKUR: A team of FIA cybercrime wing arrested two boys after a raid on their houses in Mirpur Mathelo town in Ghotki district on Thursday on charges of filming a 14-year-old girl’s indecent pictures and uploading them on the social media.
The FIA team detained the suspects after receiving a complaint from the girl’s father, and confirmed that a case had been registered against them under relevant sections of law and seized their mobile phones.
Talking to media persons, Sukkur FIA’s cybercrime wing in-charge Amjad Abbasi said the suspects’ phones contained explicit pictures of many other girls as well.
