BATON ROUGE - Officials with the Louisiana Department of Health issued a Monday news release regarding the schedule for COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Region 9 during the week of April 19.
Region 9 includes the parishes of St. Tammany, Washington, Tangipahoa, St. Helena and Livingston.
The schedule is below.
Additional dates will be announced as more vaccine becomes available.
Residents requiring assistance can call the Bring Back Louisiana COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 1-855-453-0774 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

In the 1960s, health care for Black residents in rural Mississippi was practically non-existent. While some hospitals served Black patients, they struggled to stay afloat; most options were segregated. During the height of the civil rights movement, young Black doctors decided to launch a movement of their own.
“Mississippi was third-world and was so bad and so separated. The community health center movement was the conduit for physicians all over this country who believed that all people have a right to health care,” said Dr. Robert Smith.

The Louisiana Department of Health says that 1,508 vaccine providers across the state will have available doses of COVID vaccine this week.
Providers include national and independent pharmacies, public health providers, clinics and physician offices, hospitals and others.
LDH has published the list of participating providers, along with their locations and contact information on its website: covidvaccine.la.gov .
In addition to these providers, LDH says that community vaccination events are taking place across the state and are also listed on their website.
